A camping trip is definitely different from a week by the pool at a resort!
There’s probably no more direct way to experience the unexpected than camping. Not only are you responsible for constructing your shelter, you have to navigate trails with a compass, make food, and deal firsthand with the challenges of weather and terrain.
A “Do Unto Others” Project
With your neighbors, get involved in a community project, such as sprucing up a local park. Not only will you interact with kids, neighbors, and the local authorities, but you’ll probably use your hands (and brain) in unexpected ways.
